Where Theology Comes Alive!
Where Theology Comes Alive!
Are you interested in becoming a spiritual leader and committing your life to sharing the Good News with others? Saint Paul School of Theology, a United Methodist Seminary, can help you accomplish that. With campuses in the Greater Kansas City and Oklahoma City areas, we strive to help our students grow in their theological education. Saint Paul graduates know how to lead worship, evangelize, and share the gospel. They have a concern for those that are marginalized, and they live that out.
If you have the calling, we will help to make seminary possible. Explore our Flexible Learning Experience (FLEX) delivery options where we offer more online and hybrid courses as well as a special community focus week. All students applying to begin Fall 2018 will receive a $5,000 scholarship!
WHY SAINT PAUL?
When you become a student at Saint Paul School of Theology, you become a part of something special. Faculty are committed to connecting with students both online and in the traditional classroom. Saint Paul has a dynamic model that blends theory and practice. Learn practical skills such as budgeting, fundraising/capital campaigns, hospital pastoral care, and church technology from experienced clergy and lay leaders.
The Master of Divinity (MDiv) prepares leaders for ministry in a church setting, chaplaincy, and other forms of religious leadership. Graduates demonstrate thorough understanding of the Bible, renewal of the church and obtain requirements necessary for ordination.
Receive a 24 credit hour Certificate in Theological Formation. This provides additional theological preparation for work at a church, non-profit organization, or parish nursing. You can also gain deeper knowledge as a member of a congregation. Classes transfer into a degree program.
IN CHRISTIAN MINISTRY
The Master of Arts in Christian Ministry (MACM) is designed for students to become theologically informed lay and ordained leaders in a specialized ministry for the local church and beyond. This degree focuses on the social and cultural contexts in which ministry occurs. It meets the requirements for ordination as a deacon.
Master of Arts (Theological Studies) or MA(TS) degree is designed for those who intend to pursue further graduate study (doctoral or PhD). Laity may also take these courses to strengthen their lives and vocations. This program integrates scholarship of the biblical, historical, theological and moral traditions of Christianity.
